Less than 48 hours until we kick off the summer season here at Killington and Pico Mountain with United Way Day on Friday and both areas are buzzing with activity.
Here at Killington Smitty has been busy planting flowers and greening up the area around the K-1 Gondola and Lodge. The mountain bike crew is busy designing, building and maintaining the mountain bike trails and the skills park, which is currently under construction on the mountain side of the K-1 Lodge.
In the mountain bike shop, our team has been stocking products, cleaning and tuning bikes and learning our new RTP sales system. In April we started the transition to RTP, and learning a new system all across the resort has taken quite a bit of time and dedication from our staff, so when you visit this weekend, if your sales transaction takes a few seconds longer, please understand that we’re still getting familiar with the new system.
We have a selection of 2008 Kona Stinky mountain bikes for sale at the mountain bike shop in small, medium and large sizes. These were last year’s rental bikes and have been very well maintained, ready to ride and spot 7” of travel. Why are we selling them you ask? Why, to make room for the new 2009 Stinky for our rental fleet! Inquire at the mtb shop 802-422-6232.
Meanwhile, over at Pico, the horses are in the stable, the Snack Shack is getting a much-needed renovation after its move and the crew there has been working diligently to learn the RTP system as well.
See ya Friday!
